Bettie Ann Luttrell's Obituary
Bettie Ann Luttrell, 87, beloved mother and “Mimi”, passed away on February 18, 2019, on the birthday of her son Brad at her home in Dallas. Mrs. Luttrell was born on January 21, 1932, in Paducah, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Hubert and Lottie Givens Purdy.A graduate of Augusta Tilghman High School in Paducah, Kentucky and went to work for Western Union where she left as manager in the late 1970s and became a realtor. Bettie married Matthew K. Dickson in 1980 and shared 20 wonderful years together playing golf with their wonderful friends in Paducah, Kentucky. When Matthew became ill in 1999, Bettie and Matthew relocated to Dallas, Texas to be near family. In 2004, Bettie married Col. Donald A. Luttrell of Dallas, Texas and they spent 10 years together until his death in 2014. She was an avid golfer and reader, loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. She and Don, as well as their friends, enjoyed numerous trips to Europe and cruises.Mrs. Luttrell was preceded in death by three brothers, Carroll Russell Purdy, Sammy Lyle Purdy, and Lewis Glen Purdy. She is survived by her son Bradford W. Blaine of Dallas, Texas, his son, Alexander H Clayton Blaine of Dallas, Texas; one brother, David Preston Hildreth (Christal) of Dayton, Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Betty M. Purdy of Clovis, CA; her beloved cousin, Lisa Rapp Smither Epperson of Chandler, Texas and her daughter Ashley Smither of Denver Colorado.A graveside service will be held in early summer at Mt.
