Betty Carol Moore's Obituary
Betty Carol Moore passed away June 30, 2018. She was born March 23, 1934 in Texarkana, Texas to Ona Pearl and Carroll James Simmons. She is survived by her son, Michael Moore; daughter in law, Jenee Moore; grandchildren Coleman and McCall Moore; and her two brothers Harmon and James Simmons. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Moore and son, Steven James Moore.Betty attended Texarkana Junior College and North Texas State University where she received her BS degree in Elementary Education. Betty was an elementary school teacher in Nederland, TX, while her husband Charles attended Lamar College in Beaumont. Betty was a nursery school teacher at St. Mark’s Catholic School in Plano, TX for fourteen years until her retirement.Betty was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Richardson Texas since July 1959 involving herself with the Fellowship Bible Study, Goldenaires, Celebration Choirs, and Round Table- a Women’s Mission Group. She was also an active member of the Elizabeth Thompson Book Review Club, enjoying her time with friends and reading.At this time, funeral services for Ms. Betty Carol Moore are pending, please check back to the Restland website at a later date for full service information.
