Betty Virginia Taylor's Obituary
SHAW-TAYLOR, BETTY Passed away August 5, 2010 in Dallas, Texas; she was born in Sedan, Kansas on December 10, 1923 to George and Rilla Straight. Betty attended schools in Eureka Kansas, and graduated in 1941. She then attended Emporia State University, then Emporia State Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas, where she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma. Previously married to H.J. Shaw, Jr., she married Robert H. Taylor in 1973. Betty was employed by Reserve Life Insurance Co. for 29 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert “Bob” Taylor; and her brother, George B. Straight. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff and Donna Shaw, Tim and Cinde Shaw, Craig and Sally Shaw; six grandchildren: Corey Lott, Jordan Shaw, Triste Shaw, Emily Finch, Bennett Shaw and Merritt Shaw; three great-grandchildren: Taylor and Avery Lott and Owen Finch; sisters, Leigh Lewis of Montgomery, Texas, and Sue Pryor of Wichita, Kansas.
