Betty Ann Williams' Obituary
Betty Ann Williams, nee Moorhead, passed away on October 16, 2023, at the age of 94 in Seminole, Florida. She was born on August 28, 1929, in Farmersville, Texas. Betty will be remembered as a loving, caring, and dedicated individual, especially when it came to her family. She had a passion for travel and cherished her role as a devoted Mimi.
Betty is survived by her granddaughters, Heather Minichillo and husband Brian, Morgan Jordan Speake and husband Jacob, Courtney Henderson and husband Davy; great granddaughters, Jordana Minichillo, Annabelle Minichillo, Harper Henderson; and great grandsons, Tyler Henderson and Jeremy Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Williams; daughter, Ellen Gail Jordan; niece, Cherry Ann Jones; mother, Lucy Moorhead; and father, Winnie Moorhead.
Betty achieved a Masters degree from Texas Woman's University and dedicated her career to the field of nursing. She worked as a school nurse and eventually became the Head of Health Services for the Garland Independent School District.
In her free time, Betty enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She found solace and community at the Austin Street Church of Christ and Highland Oaks Church of Christ.
A visitation will be held on October 26, 2023, from 5-7pm at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. The funeral service will take place on October 27, 2023, at 2pm, also at Restland Funeral Home.
