Bettye Yvonne Gilliland, 83, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008. FUNERAL – 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Restland of Dallas. Visitation at 2:30 p.m. Yvonne was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Paris, TX. A graduate of Sunset High School in 1942, she served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, enjoyed square dancing, cats, and living life to the fullest. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her redheaded charm and infectious smile will be missed by all. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Bill J. Gilliland, and niece, Dana. Survivors – Brother, Don Eden and wife, Barbara; children, Michele Reed, Sharon Jones, Allan D. Jones and wife, Nancy, John S. Jones and wife, Jacqueline; step-children, Tami, Cathy, Dewey, Bonnie; nieces/nephews, Don Jr., Denise; grandchildren, Courtenay Reed-Butcher, Neil Smith and wife Diane, J.T. Jones III and wife, Amy, Matthew Wright, Travis Jones; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Joseph, Christina, Matthew, Valera; gr-great grandson Aiden.
