Billy Jim Ewing's Obituary
Billy Jim Ewing was born on August 2, 1930 and peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the age of 88. He was married to Anna Ewing for 63 years, proudly served his country in the US Navy, retired from the US Postal Service and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.He recently said, “My main thing in life was being honest, having a lot of friends and having a lot of fun. Of course, the most important thing is being a Christian.” He loved movies and he loved to laugh.Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Ewing. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-laws: David and Debbie Ewing and Mark and Rhonda Ewing; grandchildren: Jessica and Mike Lepsch, Jake and Laurel Ewing, Catheryn Cobian, Chelsea and Rusty Regalado and Drew and Brianna Ewing; he was also very proud of his 9 great grandsons: Alex and Benjamin Lepsch; Colten, Wyatt, Easten and Hunter Ewing; Caden and Ryan Chatham and Gavin and Gabriel Regalado. He is also survived by his sister, Lanelle Harmon.Services: Visitation hours will be observed on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243 and can be reached at (972) 238-7111. A service will follow on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11:00 in Restland Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Restland Cemetery.
