Billy Mack York's Obituary
Billy Mack York, a resident recently from Mabank, Texas, passed away on January 11th, 2024, at the age of 89. He was born in Mt. Home, Oklahoma on October 10th, 1934. Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Eileen York, and son, Moshe Solomon. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Moyleen York, sons Gary and Michael, as well as his daughter, Patti (York) Carlton, sisters Wava Frances Roye and Mary Ann Smith. Bill leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brother, Harold York, and many nephews and nieces who will cherish his memory.
Family was at the heart of Bill's life, and his love for them knew no bounds. His kindness, gentleness, dedication and warmth created a strong and loving family bond that will endure through generations.
Bill spent 20 years working for his brother's TV business, contributing his skills and commitment to the family enterprise. Later, he embarked on a different adventure as a long-distance truck driver for JB Hunt, relishing the opportunity to explore the diverse landscapes of the country. After 23 years on the road, Bill retired from truck driving, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and a wealth of stories from his travels.
Bill, along with Eileen, spent many years traveling across 48 states “RV-ing” and they also greatly enjoyed their travels abroad to Europe. Bill greatly enjoyed the beauty of this world. And a shared passion for golf also brought much joy and relaxation to Bill and Eileen's lives. Bill always enjoyed family reunions and sharing stories from his past. These adventures created lasting memories and strengthened the bond between Bill and Eileen. At 88, Bill made a profession of faith accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Bill will be remembered for his love, kindness, dedication, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love of the family he cherished so dearly.
