Bobby Joe Capps' Obituary
Bobby Joe Capps passed away Sunday morning, April 2, 2017. He was born March 17, 1934, in Novice, Coleman County, Texas, to Robert Pogue Capps and Annie Park Capps. After graduating from Pecos High School in 1953, he served in the United States Air Force and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, as well as Amarillo College in Amarillo. Bob was employed for 30-plus years by Pioneer Natural Gas Company in Lubbock and Amarillo and Atmos Energy Corporation in Dallas, where he retired in 1993 after serving as Vice President of Marketing. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Capps; two daughters, Vicki Huddleston of Dallas and Charlotte Honea and husband, Mike of Claude; two step-sons, Mark Longhofer and wife, Brenda, of Garland, and Michael Longhofer of Amarillo; granddaughters Judith Huddleston and Shelby Taylor; grandsons John Huddleston and Chris Honea; step-granddaughter Heather Fulcher, three great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Shriners Hospitals for Children. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 800 PM, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
