Bonnie Lou Dorris' Obituary
Bonnie was a long time resident of Richardson, prior to moving to an assisted living home in Bedford. . Born in Hale Center, Texas on May 26, 1925, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; and her parents, Odie and Bertie Stephens; and three brothers, Clinton, George, and Gerald Stephens. Bonnie is survived by step children, Rob Dorris and wife Christine, Gwen Dorris, Nancy Crow, Donna Stowell, Barbara Beeler and husband Jim; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Cheryl Barekman (Joe), Jerry Stephens, Melanie Jones (Mark), Phil Stephens (Barbara), Ricky Stephens (Rosemary), Dennis Stephens (Pamela), and Diane Stephens. She retired from AT&T Communications in 1985 where she had worked in management positions for 41 years. Bonnie was proud of being one of the first woman managers at Southwestern Bell where she began her career at the age of 19. She and husband, Jack, were members of Lakeside Baptist Church for many years.
