Jeanne was my families oldest friend for over 80 years … She was truly a gift to us from God … Her special love and kindness was shared by so many of us and she will be remembered by all of those who were fortunate enough to have met her … One like her will truly not pass this way again … She was a friend , sister and mother to me for 72 years .. I will truly miss Mrs. West. She had such a special place in my heart. Knowing her since I was born made her a grandmother to me. It was so wonderful seeing her sitting outside watching over her "children" caring for each and every one of us. She became a family member to all of us. It always brightened up my day seeing her with her contagious smile and warming heart. I truly love you Mrs. West. One of my memories I will never forget was when I was doing a school report and I interviewed her. She told me about the time she was getting her sewing machine fixed and was very close to where Kennedy was assassinated. I think we talked about that memory for hours! I loved her ability to share her life and her many many memories! It will be one of the many things I will miss.
