Mr. Brady Louis Gilley's Obituary
Graveside service for Brady L. Gilley, 85, of Dallas, will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 16, 2008, at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, TX, Rev. Bob Gilley officiating. Visitation will be at the graveside at the Court of Hope one hour prior to the service. Mr. Gilley went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2008 in Dallas. Born January 29, 1923, in Van Zandt Co., Texas, he was the son of Robert Tolbert Gilley and Ollie Easley Gilley. He was preceded in death by his wife Floye, a sister, Nora Steele of Longview, TX, and brother, Rufus C. Gilley of Longview, TX. He was a U.S. Army veteran with the 92nd Assault Signal Corp. serving World War II in the Pacific theater. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, Liberation of South Philippines, Asiatic Pacific campaign with three bronze stars, bronze arrowhead, Philippine Liberation ribbon with bronze star, Good Conduct Medal, Victory ribbon, three overseas service bars. He worked as a welder and was a member of the Casa View Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, John Wayne Gilley, sisters and brothers-in-law, Avery Hughes, Geneva Hudgens, Barbara and Joy Sustaire, Ilene and Bobby Steel, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob G. and Doris Gilley, Bill Roberts, and Jack Roberts, and numerous nieces and nephews.
