Carol Lael Gardner Alpiger Born: 5-18-33 / Died: 8-20-22
Lael was born in Mooringsport, LA. She graduated from Highland Park High School and Southern Methodist University. Lael was married to Kenneth Donald Alpiger on 4-18-55 and they resided in Farmers Branch, TX. They had two children Donald and Lisa. Lael enjoyed shopping, reading, quilting, and gardening. Lael was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Kenneth Donald Alpiger and her parents Jabez Macon Gardner and Edna Earl Gardner. Lael is survived by her two children Donald Alpiger (Frances) and Lisa Atwood (Tim); four grandchildren Lindsay McCammond (Patrick), Peter Alpiger (Monika), Marshall Atwood (Becca), and Amanda Kielhorn (Quinn); three great-grandchildren Maverick McCammond, Ashtyn Kielhorn, and Baby Atwood; two sisters Sarah Gardner (Martha Dardenne) and Rebecca Kleinhans (Joey - deceased); and multiple nieces and nephews. The family desires to thank the staff at Emerson at Rosemeade Park where Lael resided for the last twelve years, especially Neeli, Maria, Jackie, Stephanie, Lonna, Charity, Kim, and Miguel. The family wishes to express their eternal gratitude to Grace Home Health, especially Gracy, Irene, Rachel, Kelly, Jo, Dr. Peikari, and all others involved. The family wants to express our deep appreciation for the many years of remarkable care by Dr. Allan Shulkin and Dr. Ronald Kerr of Medical City - Dallas, the endless care provided by the doctors, nurses, and staff at Presbyterian Hospital - Plano, and the Carrollton Fire Department and EMTs.
