Carol Ann Gill's Obituary
Carol Ann Harris Gill, 71, of Dallas, died peacefully surrounded by her family on the morning of August 18, 2018. Ann was born in Jasper, Georgia to Edwin and Gladys (Burgess) Harris, who have preceded her in death. Ann is survived by her devoted husband of thirty-one years, Frank Harrison Gill, with whom she shared a close and loving partnership filled with adventure. Ann is survived by her son, Judson Bailey and his wife, ZoeAnn of Houston, Texas, her sister Nancy (Harris) Auburn and her husband, Robert of Gig Harbor, Washington, Edwina (Harris) Low and husband Michael of Vinings, Georgia, stepdaughter, Leslie (Gill) Hope and her husband, Daryl of Rockwall, Texas, her stepson, Douglas Gill and his wife, Holly of Dallas, Texas; her granddaughters, Abigail, Katelyn and Georgia Bailey of Houston, Texas; and step granddaughters, Emma and Sydney Gill of Dallas, Texas, daughters of Douglas and Michelle Gill. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.Ann graduated from the Georgia Baptist Nursing School in Atlanta, Georgia and was a registered nurse for fifty years. In her twelve years of teaching Nursing, she supervised thousands of nurses through their clinicals. She was also named one of the top ten salespersons when she worked for Ohmeda selling medical equipment. Ann and Frank also lived in Ajijic, Mexico for ten years and enjoyed cruising faraway places like Costa Rica, the Panama Canal, Russia, Spain, and Germany. Ann and Frank loved to cook gourmet food together and took a cooking trip to Tuscany, Italy. Visitation will be held on August 26, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service will be in the Abbey on August 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Baylor Health Care System Foundation and designating Palliative & Supportive Care Clinic as the recipient.
