Carol Hall Petty
Passed away with her family by her side on Monday, May 11, 2020 due to Renal Cell Cancer. She was born on April 29, 1944, in Springfield, Missouri to Paul & Virginia Hall. Growing up she lived in Pasadena, California, where she enjoyed the yearly Rose Bowl activities. Her family moved to Garland, Texas; where she graduated from Garland High School in 1962. She married Gary Petty, and together they had their daughter Karrie. Carol worked as a Sales Representative for Honeywell for many years until she retired. She was a proud “Mimi” to her grandchildren, Shelby, Reed, Graham & Bryce whom she enjoyed watching growing up and attending their activities, especially their baseball, basketball & football games. She loved her community where she lived and visiting with her neighbors, playing bingo, board games & coloring. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Virginia Hall; and brother David Hall. She is survived by her daughter Karrie, and son-in-law Andy; her grandchildren, Shelby, Graham and Bryce Johnston of Plano, TX and Reed Johnston of College Station, TX; her sisters Barbara Lalik (Roger) and Cynthia Hall, of Henderson, KY; and sister Kimberly Ambrose of Baldwinsville, New York; several nephews and a niece. Donations in her memory can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the SPCA of Texas.
Graveside Service will be held on June 18th, 11:00am, Veterans 2 Garden at Restland Cemetery.
