Carolyn Ann Smith's Obituary
Mrs. Carolyn Ann Smith, 73, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2018, in Sunnyvale, Texas. She was born on Tuesday, October 31, 1944, to her loving parents, Milton Davis and Thelma Berger Davis in Ancon, Panama Canal Zone.Carolyn married Kenneth Smith on December 27, 1975 in Garland, TX. She went on to spend 34 years as a beloved teacher for the Garland ISD. Her many life loves included golf and tennis. She was voted the “Most Athletic Female” in both high school and college! Carolyn also loved to dance. She was an active member of the Kissin Kuzzins Square Dance Club.Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ken; her sister, Florence Strawn of Choctaw, OK; her brother, Ed Davis of Houston, TX. Carolyn was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held Friday, July 27, 2017, at 11:00 AM in The Memorial Chapel.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Carolyn’s honor to the American Cancer Society.Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Carolyn Ann Smith have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
