Chuck and I go back to being old Wildcat classmates at WWHS in the early 40's and then again on the Dallas Police Department as Patrolmen and Detective Sergeants from the early 50's to the 80's when he went to Mobil and I went to the DA's office. We even worked adjoining districts in West Dallas for a couple of years in the Patrol Division. Rest in peace my good and faithful friend……..William L. (Bill) House and wife Evelyn.
Lit a candle in memory of Charles Wesley Deloney
I met Mr. Deloney 17 years ago at our property fence line. Since then the two of us have tackled almost every project possible and I have had the pleasure of learning some valuable lessons along the way. Some of my favorite memories were spending time with him in his barn where he told me on numerous occasions of how lucky he was to have Mrs. Betty by his side for the past 50 years. He was also very proud of his daughters and their family. Sandy and I are blessed to have known and spent time with such a great man, neighbor, and friend. You will be missed, Sandy and Jeff
Charles was one of my favorite long time patients. He was always such a gentleman to not only me but also to my staff. Charles would rise to shake my hand as I entered the examination room and greet me with that warm Texas smile. He always had a positive attitude that made it a pleasure to have him as a patient. My staff and I will miss his yearly visit that brought that firm hand shake and big smile into the office. It is patients like Charles and his wife Betty that have made my career so enjoyable.
