Charles Dewey Dorman Jr's Obituary
Dorman Jr., Charles Dewey left this world to the open arms of his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. Charles was born to Rev. Charles D. Dorman, Sr. and Willie Odell Cox Dorman on October 14, 1923. Charles served his country in World War II through the military branch of the Army as a combat engineer. He worked and owned his own blueprint, printing company for many years. As a past president of the Dallas Litho Club he was well known in the blueprint industry. Charles was an active member of Royal Haven Baptist Church. He leaves behind his wife of 72 years, Evelyn; son, Rick and wife, Carol of Flower Mound; grandchildren, Tanya and Paul of San Antonio; Jeremy and Amy of Lewisville; Justin and Kara of Burleson; great grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb, Abby, Mattie, Brayden, Kaydan and Kale who is due in October. Charles is also survived by his sister, Francis Briggs, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, J. T. Dorman. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, September 08, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
