Charles Edward Fidler's Obituary
Charles "Chuck" Fidler, age 91, passed away on October 7, 2021, in Richardson, Texas, after a long illness. Chuck was born on July 20, 1930, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Ewing and Arta Fidler. After graduating from Ada High School, he attended the University of Oklahoma where he earned a degree in Petroleum Engineering and met his wife, Dorothy Bird, whom he married in 1953. Chuck enjoyed a successful and fulfilling career with Gulf Oil and Chevron Corporation, which took him to Louisiana, Texas, California and Alberta, Canada. After retiring in Texas, he devoted time to his hobby of genealogy and traveling the world with Dorothy. Chuck was a life-long churchgoer and enjoyed singing hymns. Predeceased by wife of 60 years, Dorothy Fidler. Survived by daughter Jennifer and husband Mark Carter, daughter Karen Fidler and grandson Andrew Carter.
