Charles Wayne Fletcher's Obituary
Charles Wayne Fletcher was born April 3, 1930 in Fannin County, Texas and passed away March 20, 2017 in Heath, Texas. Charlie battled Parkinson’s with grace and dignity in the last several years of his life. His quality of life was enhanced and enriched by the tremendous attention and care of three principal caregivers, Taletha Russell, Kim Crutcher and Kam Robinson, as well as his Heart to Heart hospice nurse Skyla Langston. The family will be forever grateful to them for their love for Charlie. Preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Nita Belle; parents, Marvin D. and Jessie Fletcher; five brothers, Glenwood, Henry Joe, Don, Kenneth, Johnny; two sisters, Jean Carmack and Mary Neal. Survived by son, Dennis Wayne Fletcher and wife, Karen, Craig Fletcher and wife, Pam; daughter, Gail Fletcher-Hoover and husband, Scott; two granddaughters, Aubra Fletcher and Abby Lowery and husband, Ben; great-grandsons, Taru Anthonypillai and Abe Lowery; brother, Bill Fletcher; sister, Betty Perry. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, Friday, March 24, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Charles Fletcher held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Restland Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to State Fair of Texas Youth Livestock Auction, P.O. Box 150009, Dallas, TX 75315. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
