Charles "Chuck" Rodney Anderson's Obituary
Born Dec. 26, 1924 in St. Joseph, MO. Age 93. Went to be with the Lord May 10, 2018. Served in the Navy Seabees during WWII on Attu Island in the Aleutians. Graduated from Nebraska U. Worked for various insurance companies and owned his own insurance company for 26 years. Hobbies were boating, camping, taking long drives. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and studying God’s Word. His and Fran’s home was open to various Bible studies. Inscribed inside their rings was Ps. 34:3. Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Julia Gunther Anderson Helden; father, Harrison Morton Anderson; sisters, Kathryn Ray Anderson and Mary Helden; brother, Billy Helden; and son, Kirk Alan Anderson. He is survived by his beloved wife, Fran; son, Chris Rodney Anderson; and step-daughter, Ann Armstrong; and step-son, Jim Armstrong. A graveside service will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Restland Memorial Park in the Garden of Veterans I. Please stop by the information booth at the cemetery entrance or the funeral home reception desk for directions and a map to Veterans I. Pastor Kent Barnard of Redeemer Bible Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or the Dallas Branch of Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) Hospice.Arrangements are under the care of Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243.
