Cherry Jane Barker Lynch was born on November 9, 1933 in Tarrant County, Texas and passed away on November 27, 2016 in Decatur, Texas. Preceded in death by father, Hilyard Lorenzo Barker; mother, Vera Joyce Barker; and son-in-law, Charles F. Rhodes Jr “Dusty”. Survived by husband, James W. Lynch; son, James H. Lynch and wife Carol; daughter, Vicki Littleton and husband Vernon; daughter, Kelly Rhodes; son, Robert Lynch and wife Carol; 15 grandchildren and 18 great – grandchildren. James and Cherry’s marriage of sixty-four years was a beautiful example of love and devotion. Grandma was loved for her positive attitude and sense of humor. She was fondly referred to as “Hurricane Cherry” because she was a force to be reckoned with. She loved crafts, especially making Christmas ornaments for each family member. There was no one like her, nor will there ever be. Service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 3 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
