Cheryle Barber Helm's Obituary
Cheryle Barber Helm was born on December 21, 1948 to John and Doris Barber. She had 1 younger brother, Johnny Barber, and together they grew up in Montgomery, Alabama until the family relocated to Texas when she was just a young girl. Cheryle attended RL Turner High School where she graduated in 1967 and formed many lifelong friendships. It was shortly after high school when she married her first husband Frank Treadaway. Together they had 2 loving daughters Kristi Treadaway and Jamie Treadaway. After their brief marriage Cheryle eventually began working as an executive secretary at Dallas Label and Box where she would eventually meet her future husband David Helm. They married on March 4th, 1978 and 4 years later had a son, Steven Helm. Cheryle was faithfully in love and married to David for over 44 years. They traveled together hand-in-hand and experienced all that life had to offer. Cheryle will be remembered for her big heart and generous spirit. She loved her family and cherished her grandmother role as “Mimi”. When her and David weren’t out traveling the world, their other favorite thing to do was to spoil their grandkids who they adored so much. In addition to her to children Cheryle also had grandkids James Rudkin, Ryan Miller, Jake Rudkin, Sydney Miller, Mikayla Helm, Tyson Helm as well as Great Grandson Carter Rudkin. Cheryle’s loving personality and sweet smile will never be forgotten. She lived a full life of love and laughter and will forever be in our hearts and minds.
