Christina Deanne Esquivel's Obituary
Christina Deanne Esquivel, age 37, loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 31, 2020, from a brain aneurysm, at her home in Burleson, Tx. She was born in Dallas on 24th August 1982 and grew up in Dallas, Grand Prairie, De Soto and Arlington. She attended Gospel Lighthouse Christian Academy and graduated from James Martin High School (Arlington) in 2000. She graduated from college at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) with two degrees, Bachelor of Bus. Admin. (Magna Cum Laude) in 2003 and a Bachelor of Bus. Admin. In Accounting in 2004. After college Christina worked at Landry’s Seafood as an Accountant, then worked 12 years at the Source Co., as a Staff Accountant. For the last two years, she worked at Cook Children’s Medical Center as a Financial Reporting Accountant II and earned the “Peak Performance Award (November 2019).” Christina was currently taking the CPA preparation course to obtain her CPA accreditation.
Her many interests included: travel (Hawaii and NYC her favorites,) books, movies, dining, exercising, art glass and spending time with family and friends. Christina was a beautiful person! Her radiant smile, kindness and caringness toward others and her admirable work ethic, will be sorely missed. We love you "sweet girl" – eternally young. (John 5:24)
She was preceded in death by her grandparents (Papa and Nana), Uncle Butch and her sibling "Baby Burgess". The survivors include: her loving parents Teri and Jeff Burgess, beloved sister Jennifer and brother-in-law Julio Rodriguez as well as her dearly loved nephew (Ezra Alexander) and niece (Mia Rose).
The family will receive family and friends on Friday, February 7th from 9:30 am – 11:00 am (Visitation – in the main Restland Bldg.) The Funeral Services will be held at the Wildwood Chapel in Restland at 12:30 PM interment will immediately follow. Flowers would be greatly appreciated.
