Clarice Byars Langran's Obituary
Clarice Byars Langran was born August 8th, 1926 in Dallas, Texas, and died October 18th 2017, at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her father William Byars, stepfather Grady Bookman, and mother Mary Louise Colquitt. She is survived by husband of 54 years John B. Langran, son Michael Langran, granddaughter Claire Kassakian MD, greatgrandchildren Zareh and Viola Kassakian, and cousins Martha Mason, Mary Mitchell, Lavada Easter and Marla Golden.She attended Woodrow Wilson High School, graduating in 1944, and went to Southern Methodist University.Clarice made her profession of faith at an early age. and was a member of the Richardson Heights Baptist Church, serving on many committees. She also was a member of Prestonwood Church for several years. She taught Bible Study classes for over 60 years, and touched many lives.Clarice was a top Sales associate for Ebby Halliday Realtors, becoming Director of Education and Vice-president. In 1982 she opened her own company, Clarice Langran Realtors.Clarice was a member of Zonta International, a womens service organization, serving as President of the Dallas I chapter.Clarice was a member of the Legacy Society and Women’s Auxiliary Board at Dallas Baptist University, and also a recipient of the Ruth Award in 2015.Memorial service will be at the Heights Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 25th at 2:00pm.In lieu of flowers, send memorial service donations to the Heights Baptist Church, 201 W.
