Connie Jane Miller's Obituary
Connie Jane Miller, age 89, went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2014. She was born May 21, 1925 in Ennis, Texas to M. D. and Madeline Fleetwood. She grew up in Hearne, Tx. where she met the love of her life, Ed Miller. She and Ed graduated from East Texas State University and were married for 53 years. Family, friends and teaching were Connie’s passion and delight. She taught school for 33 years and most of those years were at Lake Highlands Elementary in Richardson I.S.D. The 1975-1976 P.T.A. year book was dedicated to her as well as a Life Membership in P.T.A. in 1985. She and Ed spent summers in Red River, New Mexico where they owned and operated The Thunderbird Lodge. She really enjoyed her time there and made many lifelong friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed. Connie is survived by one son, Eddie Miller, and wife Denise, grandson Matt, and wife Ashley, and great grandson M.J., daughter Madeline Frank, and husband Jim. There will be a private graveside service for immediate family members at Restland Memorial Park. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the loving and caring staff at Atria Richardson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
