Curtis was a loving son, husband, father, brother, family member and friend. You could feel his love the moment you met him. Curtis had a great passion for everything “Star Wars”, his VAST collection of memorabilia rivals anything George Lucas may have. On a recent trip to California he nearly followed a UPS truck in the Skywalker Ranch gate, but Gayle brought him back to reality.
Curtis loved ALL types of music and attending live concerts; however his music tuner could never find Country Western stations. He had a great passion for the film industry and movies. He enjoyed family and friend gatherings in which all of his friends ARE family. Comic books & collecting, fishing, golfing, watching attending & tailgating at football games, the beach & mountains, swimming pool days were some of his favorite activities especially enjoying an Old Fashion prepared by Gayle.
Curtis admired his Great Grand Father “Papa” and he instilled his work ethic in him. Papa worked for the government in the Helium works for 40 years. Curtis celebrated 26 years with Marquis and held the position of Chief Product Officer (“C3PO” as Gayle would call him). He was instrumental in the development of software and management that built the company up to be sold twice. His platinum parachute and non-compete clause exemplify his dedication and value to the company.
Curtis took great pride in providing for his wife and children, he was a true family man. He made date night and pool side happy hours a priority. He loved sports and was the “on the court/field Dad coach” for Lauren’s volleyball and Alex’s football games. He had such joy hosting holiday gatherings with his highly qualified hostess Gayle. They enjoyed superb family vacations and their interaction & bond as a family unit is a rarity to be adored. It was his desire to make sure Gayle, Lauren and Alex were given everything they needed and wanted.
Curtis is preceded in death by his loving “Granny” Alma Jeane Stark, a cherished Mother-in-Law Sandra Brown and great grandparents, great aunt, aunt and uncle. He is survived by his parents Eddie & Mykie Hill; Gayle his wife, Lauren & Alex his children; Scotty & Tracey his siblings; Hylton Brown his father-in-law; Tim & Rebecca Brown his brother & sister-in-law and their children Ellen Klare & Sam; and many loving extended family members.
