John "Johnny" Chism
I have several memories, first the many trips to his place in Argyle and watching him work in the cabinet shop, swimming with Charlie in the pool, riding motorcycles there, my first Deer hunting trip they took me on after Mom had died and getting my first deer. Grandpa had told me he would have the head mounted before I killed it but I blew half it's face off. I remember the only way you could get near Dipper was to be holding an ice cream cone for him. I remember him teaching me construction when he was building the house on the creek west of Plano. I remember him being gruff too and my boys meeting him for the first time. They thought he was a funny old man and loved his stories. I will miss him even though I did not get to see him as often as I would have liked.
