Danna Kay Dunn's Obituary
Danna Kay Barton Dunn was born June 9, 1953 in Dallas, TX, the daughter of Floyd Earl Barton, Jr and Kathryn Pearl (Kay) Hopkins. She married Thomas S. Dunn in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, Canada on August 7, 1990. Danna passed away in her sleep on Friday, February 12, 2021 at her home in Frisco, Texas. Her parents and her brother, Richard Dale Barton of Plano, TX have all preceded her in death.
Danna is survived by her husband and relatives including her Aunt Ellen Barton Avery Miller; cousins Linda J Brinkley of Allen, TX, Glenda Avery Menn of Kerrville, TX, Mary Ann Avery Wells of North Richland Hills, TX, Betty Ruth Avery Carter and her husband Scott of San Antonio, TX, and nephew Kevin Miller and his wife Sandy of Hurst, TX.
Danna was Office Manager at The Realty Alliance from 1995 until her retirement in 2018. She was an active member of the Lovers Lane United Methodist Church (LLUMC) in Dallas, TX. Her hobbies included socializing, travel, scrapbooking, boating, watersports, photography and interior/exterior decorating.
Services at LLUMC Main Sanctuary will begin at 1:30pm with a memorial slide show, followed by the main service officiated by Pastor Stanley Copeland at 2:00pm on March 27th (streaming: https://llumc.org/dannadunn/). A Celebration of Life will continue outside in the Shepherds Garden following the service. Inurnment attended by the immediate family only will be at Restland Funeral Home (Whispering Waters section), Dallas,TX on March 26th.
