For the past 35 years, David has been a close business partner. More importantly, David has been a closer friend. We have shared so much of our lives raising families, boasting of our children's accomplishments and wondering how we could be so lucky to have married the beautiful ladies that we have shared our lives with. Phone calls were hard to end when we needed to catch up on things. I thought those calls would go on for years to come. I will miss those calls! I will miss my friend! All my love to Lannie, Jordan and Mckenzie! Phil Griffith

Dear Lannie, Jordan and Mackenzie, There are no words to express my shock and sorrow at the loss of Dave. I remember him so well from our Oakridge days, and our fathers were together in Rotary. May the memories of his love comfort you in the days ahead, and know that many are sharing in your loss. Sending hugs across the miles. Deborah Smith Oakridge Class of 1975
Lannie is one of my dearest friends for many years so that meant Dave has been part of my life all those years! From staying at their log home in Dallas to visiting in later years. Dave always gave me the best hugs and the biggest smile. He didn't mind when Lannie and I took off to dog obedience shows and I'd love to hear Lannie tell stories of his golfing trips. I enjoyed seeing them together. And I knew them before Jordan and McKenzie were born so I got to see Dave become a great dad as well as a great husband. I knew wherever I was that if I needed help, I could pick up the phone and call him. Even though he was "just the husband" of my friend, he had become my friend over the years as well. In summer of 2015, I sent him some souvenir ball markers and tees from the first U.S. Open held in the Pacific Northwest at Chambers Bay. He sent me a thank you note which meant so much to me! I will miss Dave. Part of him lives in so many of us who had the opportunity to know and love him. My prayers and love are with Lannie, Jordan, and McKenzie.

David was always a gentleman and became our favorite lighting vendor and friend. We had the pleasure of sitting with him and his friends on the same flight to Montana to go fly fishing. We will miss him. God grant comfort and peace to his family. Dennis & Hazel Harris
