Dean Melvin Hunter, born on April 13, 1937, in Jennings, Kansas, to Grant Hunter and Gertrude Tacha, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024, at the age of 87.
Dean was a man of deep faith and unwavering dedication to his community. He served as a deacon at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, where his commitment to Christ and his fellow congregants was evident in every aspect of his life.
An avid sports enthusiast, Dean loved to run and hike, always staying active and enjoying the great outdoors. His passion for physical activity was matched only by his devotion to his family, whom he cherished deeply.
Dean’s professional life was marked by an extraordinary work ethic. He worked in Telecommunications at AT&T for an impressive 43 years, never missing a single day of work. His dedication and reliability were an inspiration to all who knew him.
Dean Melvin Hunter leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 12th, at 10:30am with graveside services to follow.
