Deborah Driggs Jarrett's Obituary
Deborah Driggs Jarrett was born September 5, 1948 in Dallas and went home to be with the Lord on July 2nd after a seven month battle with acute leukemia. Debby was a true fourth generation Texan and a loving daughter of Texas parents Wilson and Margaret Driggs, who are both with the Lord. Debby was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in 1966 and received her Bachelors of Science degree in Secondary Education from Southern Methodist University in 1970. Debby had a successful career in building and managing Mothers’ Day Out Schools and managing other not-for-profit organizations. Debby was very involved in Women’s Ministry facilitating Bible studies at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, Tx. Debby is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Jay and Andy; daughter, Ellie; daughter’s-in-law, Katie and Alisa; son-in-law, John Shattles; grandchildren: Zachary, Brittany, Abigail, and Audrey; brothers, Dub Driggs and Dr. Shane Driggs. Debby and Richard had been married for 43 and a half years. Debby was a loving, caring and giving mother, wonderful wife and faithful friend. Visitation will be held at Restland Memorial Park, 9220 Restland Rd. Wednesday, July 6th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A private graveside service will be held for family members only. A memorial service followed by a reception will be held in her honor on Thursday, July 7th at 2:00 pm at Lake Pointe Church, 701 East Hwy 30 in Rockwall, Texas.
