When I hear the cliché “a match made in heaven,” I’ve ALWAYS thought of a select few, including Walter and Delbra, who fit that bill.So I’m both sorrowful … and yet smiling … to think of Delbra now with her (and our) Creator.O Happy Day … but what a loss for Walter and Delbra’s sister. My thoughts and prayers are with Walter and Delbra’s family. I had the privilege of working with Delbra for four years at the American Heart Association and she was an inspiration and positive influence to so many for her remarkable poise, smarts, integrity, kindness and warmth, and that wonderful sense of humor that kept us going through times both challenging and celebratory. She was the consummate professional to be sure, but she also knew how to be a trusted friend and confidant and how to manage it all with grace, compassion and great style. I am a better person for having known her and having learned a lot of life lessons from her. I will always remember Delbra and continue to be inspired by her innate goodness.
