Devonia was a lively personality who made me take a second look at the work I did and the people I served – and the attitude with which I met my work. With such a quick smile and wicked wit, she made each encounter with her a delight. The bright spark that lit the world she lived in is a little dimmer this day. I know she lights up the space she now occupies. She is deeply missed here.
Devonia has been a vital part of my life during the last year. After I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was a bit lost. But Devonia jumped right in and guided me through all the procedures and surgeries. No matter how bad her reports were she rejoiced when I got a good report. Even at our last visit Devonia was focused on how I was doing.
