Diana Elaine Martinez age 51 Went to be with Jesus Tuesday, February 28. Daughter of Kenneth and Linda Bates, she was born in Dallas, Texas. A beloved and devoted wife to her husband Ramon, she is survived by daughters Jodie Hume, Kylie, Navie, Emory, sons Colby, Brady, Tikki,
Albie, and her grandson Axton. She is survived by her sister Jenifer,
brother-in-law Chad Stanley and their children Grace, Brookelynn and Cole. Christine Martinez, her mother-in-law survived her. Her brothers-in-law Mitchell Contreas, Phillip, Jerry, and Gabriel Martinez and sisters-in-law Angela and Teresa Martinez also survived
her.. Diana was an avid international traveler having visited more than twelve countries. She graduated from the University of North Texas
after studying at the University of Seville in Spain. After having been a summer camper at Pine Cove throughout her schooling, Diana became a Pine Cove Counselor (“Spokes”). Her heart was in missions. Missional work included New Tribes Missions in Papua New Guinea, Parental Care Ministries in Uganda and Awana. She authored five books. Two were published (Sower of the Good Seed and The Duplex). Diana centered her life around her husband and children. She considered family her most important mission. She homeschooled her eight children. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
