Dolly Sue Egger's Obituary
Dolly Sue Porter Egger was born January 23, 1926 in Dallas, TX to John Wesley and Sula Hill Porter. As a 1944 graduate of Crozier Technical High School, she was given the choice of which of the three Senior Class honors she would like to accept and she chose “Most Popular Girl.” After graduation from high school, she attended business college in Dallas and began working for A. Harris Company as a Buyer. Leaving professional life to marry and raise her two children, she returned to retail in 1960 with Sanger-Harris. Widely respected throughout the retail community for her business acumen, she retired as an Executive from Foley’s in 1988. Known for her sense of humor and her ability to see and resolve any issue, she will be forever remembered for doing things “her way”. There will never be another like her. Mom passed away August 28, 2011 in Keller, TX. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sula Hill Porter, her brother, Claude Billy Porter, Sr. and her sister-in-law, Joyce Shoulders Porter Meek. She is survived by her children, Sharon and Stephen Tucker and C. Billy and Rebecca Egger; grandchildren: Stephen Monroe II and Chanda Tucker, Scott Ethan and Brooke Tucker, Sarah Elizabeth Egger and Kathryn Rebecca Egger; great grandchildren: Laith Ethan Tucker, Stephen Monroe “Trey” Tucker III, Abigaile Lee Tucker and Kailei Zaine~Averie Tucker. Service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, September 2, 2011 at Restland Wildwood Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to the service in the Chapel. “All that I am, or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother.” – A.
