Dona always had a strong love for volunteering and working in public education, specifically Mesquite ISD. She was dedicated to working with educators and students and took great pride in assisting and supporting in various roles throughout her career.
Dona’s primary passion in life was to serve as a loving wife, mother, and Mimi. She wholeheartedly supported her children and her grandchildren. She was a fully engaged mother and grandmother who would move mountains to attend all sporting events, birthdays, and other special occasions. Being with family was her absolute greatest joy.
The family would like to thank everyone who was involved in Dona’s care over the last several years of her life. Special thank you to Sliver Stone Hospice, the lovely caregivers and nurses who have been an integral part of this journey throughout the last few years, and most especially Sharone Zuniga, for your love and faithful care as Dona’s personal caregiver and friend. We could not have done it without your love, guidance, and support.
A private, Catholic graveside service with immediate family will be held for Dona. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Villa Teresa – providing compassionate end-of-life care in a loving home environment. https://villateresahome.org/give/
