Donald Lee (Buz) Fluke, Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather was born January 4, 1920 in Dallas, Texas and passed away February 3, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. He is preceded in death by His Mother Mabel Fluke, Father Martin Luther Fluke and Brother William Fluke. Survived by Loving wife of 71 years Naomi Sue Fluke, Dallas Texas, Daughter Sandra Kirby, Dallas Texas, Son Marty Fluke, Galveston Texas, Daughter in Law Jackie Fluke, Galveston Texas, Grandchildren Elizabeth Fuller, New York, NY, Emily Brannen, Atlanta Georgia, Jimmy Fluke, Galveston Texas, Jessica Fluke, College Station Texas and Great Grandchildren Olivia Fuller and Jack Fuller New York, NY. Mr. Fluke was born in Dallas Texas and spent all of his life in the Dallas area. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He graduated from Dallas Technical High School in 1938 and followed his father’s footsteps in Carpentry. He was a member of The Texas Carpenters & Millwrights Union for 74 years. Mr. Fluke was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army October 4th 1945 after serving for 2 1 1/2 years in The European Theatre of WWII. Mr. Fluke received a European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign medal with 8 Bronze Stars and the Distinguished Unit Badge with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster. He annually attended the reunion of the 482nd Bomb Squadron until his health prevented him from travelling. He was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Oak Cliff. The world is a better place because of his life. Family will receive friends on 6-8PM Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at DFW National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
