Donald Ray Stepp's Obituary
Donald was a graduate of Garland High School in 1957; as a junior he helped the football team win the district championship, and as a senior he aided their way to being state champions. He was a loving family man, enjoyed playing golf, bowling and particularly loved to read. He was especially interested in History. Donald served his country in the United States Army; he also worked for many years as a draftsman in oil fields. He was a devoted member of First Christian Church of Plano. Don was preceded in death by his parents, R.A. and Agnes Stepp. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Nancy Stepp; daughter, Holley Bowman and husband Adrian; son, Donald Mark Stepp; grandchildren, Taylor Phillips, Carter and Parker Bowman; beloved pet, Katie Homes Stepp; special friends, Linda and Larry Morriss, Marci Prichett, Fred and Babs Summers, Steve and Karen Kittrell, Betty Smith, Jerry and Kathy Crim, and Milton and Gail McAllister; as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home. A service will be held in Don’s honor at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 17, 2009 in Restland Memorial Park, Woodland Garden.
