Doris Ellen Clack's Obituary
Doris Ellen Clack age 85, of Garland, Texas passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on October 23,1936 in Houston to her parents, Dave Walters and Jeanette Walters. Doris was the youngest of 3 children. She married Don Clack in 1956 on July 21. They had 2 children Larry & Jeannine. She was a current resident of Garland for 59 years.
She was a wonderful loving lady who put her heart into everything she did. She had a passion for reading mystery novels and trading books. She loved to travel! Hawaii was her favorite place to go. She loved going to east Texas to see the bluebonnets, Indian paintbrushes and dog woods.
In her earlier life, she was a driver for Thomas Reprographics. She delivered blueprints to businesses all over the city. She enjoyed being out and about finding all the shortcuts and new ways to get around the city.
She then moved on to cleaning houses to keep busy. She loved watching DIY shows on tv to pass the time. She would lay in her recliner with her pup Mickey. Once Mickey crossed the rainbow bridge, she missed having a pup so much she got 2 more! Little Gracie and George. They were always underfoot, but she sure loved their company.
She would sit in her recliner and scroll through her Facebook and comment on whatever came to mind. She embraced Facebook like a teenager! She loved being on it and seeing all that was going on.
She was a very spiritual loving lady. She Loved reading her bible and watching church on tv.
Her kids and all their friends called her Mom. All the grand kids and their friends called her Mamaw
She loved tacos, Dr. Pepper, and her favorite color was red.
Doris loved all her grandkids and great grandkids. Being with them at holidays was the light of her life.
Doris will be remembered by her children Larry and his wife Deena Clack, Jeannine Clack and her husband Merwin Loss of Garland, TX. She is also survived by four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her sister Kitty Dubose and brother Dave Walters and their mother and father.
Her memory will live on through them all.
