Doris Jean Leathers' Obituary
Leathers, Doris was born on January 13, 1935 in Woodbridge, Virginia and passed away on April 22, 2014 in Richardson, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father, Carlton Bramell; mother, Clara Bramell; sister, Carolene Bramell; and brothers, David “Buddy” Bramell and Carl “Tarzy” Bramell. James and Doris were married on September 4, 1954, about to celebrate 60 years of marriage when Doris passed. She loved children of all ages, the outdoors and everything that came with it especially her favorite animals. Doris was an active and proud member of the Arapaho Baptist Church. She loved her family and will be remember by those who cherished her. Doris is survived by her husband, James P. Leathers Sr.; sons, Walter Lee Leathers and James P. Leathers Jr.; daughter, Debra A. Kouser; brothers, Douglas Bramell, Kenneth Bramell, Larry Bramell Sr., Carlton “Lee” Bramell Jr.; grandchildren, Cindy, Chrissy, Josh and Becca; great grandchildren, Nate, Noelle and Gabe. Service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Restland Memorial Chapel, with visitation one hour prior.
