Dorothy Frances Littlefield Elliott's Obituary
Born September 4, 1921 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Donald and Mary Littlefield and passed away June 3, 2015 in Allen, Texas. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert Lee Elliott; and son-in-law, Jim Cathey. Dorothy is survived by daughter, Mary Ann Cathey; grandson, Phillip Edmond Cathey and wife, Dena; granddaughter, Julie Marie Sunnucks and husband John; and great-grandchildren, Sara Cathey, Sam Sunnucks, and Luke Sunnucks. Dorothy was a member of the Village Church at Northway in Dallas. It was in church that her avid love for music, especially hymns and the barbershop “sound” was cultivated and grown. Dorothy used this love to very boldly interpret that music through her own piano playing. Her lifelong involvement in the church led her to enjoy sharing the love of Jesus, both alongside her beloved husband, Bob, as well as on her own. She was a dedicated prayer warrior who loved her family and friends deeply. Services for Dorothy will take place at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with visitation 1 hour prior to the service in the chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. Memorials may be made to The Village Church at Northway in Dallas, Texas.
