Mrs. Edith J. Morgason Dowling's Obituary
Edith J. [Morgason] Dowling age 86, was born February 1, 1928 in Genoa, Arkansas and passed away peacefully on September 23, 2014 at the home of her daughter Judith Poirier in Windham, New Hampshire. She is preceded in death by Joseph G. Dowling, her husband of 58 years. She is survived by her children, Michael Dowling and wife Lori of Florida, Patricia Dowling of Maryland, Judith Poirier and husband Bruce of New Hampshire, Joseph Dowling of Minnesota, Rosemary Driscoll of Colorado, Stephen Dowling and wife Patty of Texas, and Kathleen Fassett daughter-in-law; her grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin and Michelle, Matthew and Chelsi, Mark and Joy, David and Jennifer, Ryan and Sheilane, Luke and Heather, Michael, Reneé, Allen and Shanna, Eric and Kristen, Rebecca, Sean, Kaitlin, and Patrick; her great-grandchildren Calvin, Jacob, Cole, Hannah, Connor, Nick, Emily, Caliah, Sloan, Elin, and Killian; as well as, nephews and nieces Dale, Craig, Karen and JoEllen, cousins, and numerous lifelong friends, Ski, Pat, Lois and others throughout the USA. Edith was the daughter of Lottie Mae [Brooks] Morgason and sister to Mary Helen [Morgason] Mathews who settled in San Angelo, Texas. Edith, as a military wife, lived in numerous states and outside the USA. She enjoyed music and theater with Joe, as well as crafts, especially knitting. She was as patriotic as they come. But most of all she cherished time spent with family and friends and will be fondly remembered forever as Edie, ‘SL,’ and ‘Mom’. VIEWING: Family will receive friends on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 Jupiter Road, Richardson, Texas 75081. SERVICES: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 Jupiter Road, Richardson, Texas 75081 followed by a graveside service at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
