Edmond “Tim” Timothy Hammond, Sr. born September 29, 1943 in Dallas, Texas passed away October 25, 2015 in Wylie, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents, Eutalla Davis and Mike Hammond; brother, Michael Hammond; grandson, Jordan Johnson. Tim is survived by his wife, Tina Hammond; daughter, Joni Hawkins and her husband, Chuck; sons, Tim Hammond Jr. and wife, Beth; Jeffery Grant, John Hammond and wife, Katherine; grandson, Wesley Yates; granddaughters, Natalie Yates, Jessie Hammond, and Hollie Rigsby; great-grandson, Korbin Johnson; sisters,Virginia Allen and husband, Marion Allen, Marilyn McBride and husband, Jimmie, and Faye Hammond. Tim served in Law Enforcement for over 35 years. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was a great friend and mentor to all who knew him. He had a passion for life. He loved spending time with family and friends, riding his motorcycle and driving his hotrod. He had a great passion for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He kept such great faith through out his battle with cancer and touched so many people with his faith and trust in the Lord. The visitation for Edmond Hammond will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Edmond will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 10:00 AM at New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
