Edsel Clemons Jr.'s Obituary
Edsel (Ed) Clemons Jr., 58 of Plano, TX passed away on November 12, 2017. He was born June 29, 1959 to Edsel Clemons Sr. and Addie Clemons (Miller) in Slaton, Texas. He married Ruby Ramirez on October 12, 1980 in Slaton, Texas. Edsel loved his job as Grounds Supervisor at Restland Memorial Park for 16 years, until he was unable to work due to disability. Ed was an enthusiastic, lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, win or lose. He enjoyed watching Texas Rangers and Texas Tech Football games. Ed was a recreational fisherman and a skilled mechanic, who never hesitated to “take a look” if you were having car trouble. He wasn’t a church going man because the weekend was for fishing, BBQing and sports, but he was Christian by faith. Edsel is survived by his wife, Ruby and three children; two sons, Samuel Clark of Plano, TX and Tony Ramirez of Lubbock, TX; a daughter, Heather Clark of Wylie, TX; four grandchildren, Christian McGarry of Wylie, TX, Sophia Clark of Anna, TX and Gabriella and Xavier Ramirez of Slaton, TX. Ed was loved and supported by his siblings, Gail Clemons of Richardson, TX, Garry Clemons (Dorothy) of Ft. Worth, TX, Harry Clemons of Dallas, TX, Edward Clemons (Bobbie) of Wylie, TX, Janice R. Moore of Garland, TX, Michael D. Clemons of Dallas, TX, Theresa Corona of Lewisville, TX, and Marsha Clemons-Moore of Bedford, TX; many nieces, nephews and in-laws. The family request that visiting hours be observed at Restland Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017. A funeral service for Mr. Clemons will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Restland Memorial Chapel.
