Eleanor Faye Thrailkill's Obituary
Eleanor Faye Sitton was born on June 23, 1937, in Denton, Texas, to Edith Wynne Sitton and
Robert Joseph Sitton Sr. She was the cherished youngest among her seven siblings: four
sisters and two brothers. At the age of 10, Eleanor found solace in her faith, accepting Jesus
Christ as her Lord and Savior and subsequently receiving baptism in the Baptist Church.
At Eleanor’s 15th surprise birthday party, William Bailey “Bill” Thrailkill gave her a necklace and
ear clips as a gift, which she kept her entire life. He had her heart from that moment, and they
were married March 12th, 1953, at First United Methodist Church of Burleson.
Bill and Eleanor were blessed with four children - Billy, Debra, Deanna (who passed away
shortly after birth) and Tammie.
In 1957, they moved their family to Duncanville in order to raise their family close to
Bill’s brothers and their families, allowing the kids to grow up with their cousins, and they
remained there until after all the kids graduated high school.
In 1978, Bill and Eleanor acquired All Metals Fabricating. Eleanor worked alongside Bill in their
business to provide for their family and was a true matriarch.
Eleanor was a remarkable mother, grandmother, and the epitome of the perfect wife for Bill, and
together they built a tremendous legacy. Throughout her life, she radiated strength, faithfulness,
and a selfless spirit of service, all deeply grounded in her devotion to Jesus.
They lived life to the fullest, always treasuring family time. Their ranch serves as a sanctuary
and place where they enjoyed the company of their friends, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family always remained paramount in Eleanor's heart, second only to her
unwavering faith.
March 12, 2024, marked Bill and Eleanor's remarkable 71st wedding anniversary, a testament
to their enduring devotion and steadfast love.
Eleanor is survived by her devoted husband, Bill Thrailkill, her children Billy Thrailkill, Debra
Lankin, and Tammie Cunningham, along with her daughter-in-law Kathy Thrailkill and son-in-law
Mark Lankin. She is also survived by grandchildren and their spouses: Will and Mary Margaret
Rushing, Lance and Ashleigh Thrailkill, Jessica Thrailkill, Allison and Brad Bode, Taylor
Cunningham, and Carson Cunningham. Additionally, she is survived by her great-grandchildren,
Ellie and Gavin Rushing, Lucy Mae and Georgia Thrailkill, Callie Bird, Chloe and Camryn Bode,
and Noah Cunningham.
In the hearts of her family and all who knew her, Eleanor's legacy of love and faith will forever
shine brightly.
