Elizabeth Ann Tunnell was born in Stamford, TX on September 8, 1937 and passed away in Rockwall, Texas on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 80 years of age.She was preceded in death by her parents, John James and Nona Holden, her 6 brothers, Elvin, Eldon, L.O., Jimmy, Lynn and Norman Holden and grandson Jacob Picard.She is survived by her husband and love of her life of 45 years, Jim Tunnell, Daughters, Susan (Eric) Gibson, Lisa (Earl) Worthington, Kathy (Mike)Wilson, Melanie (Lena)Tunnell and sons Jim Tunnell, Jr (Dodie) and Larry Tunnell (Cindy). Grandsons Chad (Jessie)Picard , Trey (Erica)Picard, James Tunnell, Luke (Hunter) Tunnell , Jarrod Tunnell, Logan Tunnell, David (Ale)Wilson, granddaughters Laura (Ron) Brown , Mary Lee Tunnell, Michelle Tunnel, Raylen Worthington, Karlyn Tunnell and Katy (Cody) Small. Her precious great grandchildren, Ava, Marlee, Brydon, Jax, Liam, Henry, Cilla, and Bella as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends.Ann was a fiercely loving, strong and beautiful, woman. She enjoyed a long and successful career and finished her life as CEO of Happily Retired. Her varied career included working for the U S Department of Justice in the Immigration and Naturalization Service and she was an executive assistant for the Department of Energy. In her early career she was the executive secretary to the Superintendent of Brazosport, ISD. She also studied at the Institute of Labor and Employment Law.Ann loved traveling and had stories for each adventure. She and Jim loved cruising and visited numerous countries around the world.She loved to dote on her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were her special joy.She will be greatly missed by all.A celebration of Ms. Tunnell’s life will be on Sunday, April 8, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
