Enid Rae Martin's Obituary
Born on July 13, 1924 in Yerrington, NV and passed away March 11, 2008 in Mansfield, TX. Enid worked at the amphibious base on North Island, San Diego, CA during World War II. She married Phil C. Martin on February 22, 1952, and they moved to Texas in 1987. Enid loved to knit and made 704 baby sweaters for all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and babies born to her friends. She also made afghans for all her children and grandchildren. Enid was very active in the LDS church, where she filled many positions over the years, including her favorite as musical director. Preceded in death by one grandson, Scott Martin Warner and one great-grandson, Jason Daniel Baum. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Phil Martin; 5 children, Linda Rae Martin Arms, of Norman, OK, Robert William Martin, of Provo, UT, Jeffrey Wayne Martin, of Dallas, TX, Michele Martin, of Mansfield, TX, and Melvin Bowman, of Duncan AZ; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and brother, Bruce Beaman of Provo, UT. Enid/Mom/Grammy will be missed greatly by family and friends alike for her sense of humor, tenacity, and wisdom.
