Eugene Raymond Wolfe's Obituary
It is with great sadness to announce that Eugene (Gene) Raymond Wolfe passed away on November 2, 2014. His life will be celebrated in a private ceremony. He was born on May 20, 1932 in Abilene, Texas, to Katharine Louise Hall Wolfe and Raymond Miller Wolfe. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1950 and Rice University in 1955 with a BSEE. He worked at Procter & Gamble from 1955 to 1957 and at Texas Instruments from 1957 until 1997 when he retired. While there, he helped develop a digital light processor semiconductor that revolutionized the digital processing industry. His hobbies included making and flying radio controlled model airplanes, bicycling, working on his computer, and raising his beloved Airedales. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Joyce Miller; daughters. Ellen Mayer, Alice Spelce, and Carolyn Cameron; step-daughter, Dorothy Twinney; sons-in-law and his 11 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
