Fannie Mae Rhew's Obituary
Fannie Mae Rhew, age 86, was born in Matoy Oklahoma July 6, 1935 to James and Mary Elizabeth Turner Pierce. On July 1, 2022 she went home to be with her heavenly father. Fannie began her life as the youngest of 5 children on a farm in Matoy Oklahoma. She attended Matoy Elementary, Bokchito High School and graduated Blue Ridge High School in Blue Ridge Texas in 1953. She had a passion for softball and basketball and excelled as captain for both teams. Fannie met Randolph Rhew and was married in 1953. Fannie was Secretary for the City of Rowlett 1965 and retired as a Tax Clerk for the Garland ISD Tax Office after 28 years of service in 1993. Fannie was very active in her community. She was PTA President for Rowlett Elementary, Treasurer and Sunday School Class Teacher for the First Baptist Church of Rowlett. She was active as a small business owner opening the first barber shop and car wash in the city of Rowlett with her husband Randolph. Fannie was preceded in death by her husband Randolph Rhew, parents James and Mary Elizabeth Pierce, brother Charles Pierce, brother baby Pierce, sister Mary Elizabeth Pierce and Jimmy Lee Pierce, sons, Ronnie Rhew and Ralph Rhew.
Fannie is survived by 2 children, Randy Dean Rhew Sr. and Ricky Don Rhew; 5 grandchildren, Stacy Hernandez and her husband Bryan, Randy Dean Rhew Jr. and his wife Dara Rhew, Eric Rhew and his fiancée Susan McGuire, Caleigh Theriault and her husband David, Cody Rhew and his wife Maggie; Great grandchildren, Brayden Rhew, Morgan Rhew and his wife Hope, Nolan Rhew, Luke Hernandez, Adam Rhew, Sasha Rhew and Tripp Theriault; great- great grandchildren, Ainsley Rhew and Beckum Rhew. Funeral services will at 2:00 PM, Thursday July 7, 2022 at The Wildwood Chapel of Restland Memorial Park.
