Mrs. Fern Ardis Syverson's Obituary
Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Fern Ardis Syverson, 94 years old, of Plano, Texas passed away peacefully on October 16th, 2024. Fern was born September 10th, 1930, to Wayne and Fay Cree in Lincoln Township, Wisconsin where she grew up on a dairy farm. She received her Christian baptism, along with her three sisters, on May 11th, 1941, in Polk County, Wisconsin. Fern graduated from Amery High School in 1948, and traveled to Minneapolis, Minnesota with her lifelong friend, Merna, to work at a hospital where she met her husband, Archie. Archie and Fern were married April 1st, 1949, and went on to have three children, Steven, Cathleen, and Cheryl. Fern faithfully cared for her family alongside her husband. Together they helped shape their children’s spirituality through their Christian example. She often spoke of her love and affection for her parents and family. She provided a wonderful home and was known for her delicious meals. She enjoyed passing down many family traditions to her children, sharing joy and love to each one. Archie and Fern enjoyed many trips together throughout their marriage and delighted in attending church together at Plano Bible Chapel. They celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this year with their family surrounding them. Archie and Fern have been a testimony of true love and devotion for one another, and an example for the generations that have followed them.
Fern had a wonderful sense of humor that was relatable even to her great grandchildren and a warmth about her that was a delight to everyone she touched. She will be missed dearly and will remain forever in our hearts.
Fern leaves behind her husband, Archie Syverson, her children: Steven (Nancy) Syverson, Cathleen (Dan) Dansby and Cheryl (Tom) Spriggs. Grandchildren: Shannon (Richard) Hazen, Clinton (Jessica) Dansby, Russell (Hillary) Syverson, Mathew (Jennifer) Syverson, and Thomas Spriggs.
Great Grandchildren: Hailey Hazen, Walker Hazen, Kennedy Syverson, Sydney Dansby, Caden Dansby, Isabella Syverson, Drake Syverson, Wyatt Dansby, and Madeleine Dansby.
Her Sisters: Darlene (Charles) Johnson, and Marilyn (Steve) Waalen.
Many beloved nieces and nephews.
Fern was proceeded in death by her parents Wayne and Fay Cree and sister Jean (Dick) Prindle.
Her beloved dog Tippy.
